For our office in Leuven we are looking for a:


Purchasing & Supply Chain assistant


Main tasks
- Identify the needs in production through SAP MRP and internal orders
- Buy industrial components worldwide and follow up purchasing contracts
- Negotiate best possible prices, lead times and conditions with vendors and search for new vendors - Supervise the transports, product flow and status to and from vendors and subcontractors
- Track conditions and performance in a vendor database.
- You report to the Supply Chain Manager and can act as his back-up

Skills
We are looking for a strongly motivated professional meeting the following requirements:
- Good technical knowledge, preferably a Master degree in Engineering (electronics, mechanics) or
--equivalent through experience
- Strong communication skills in English, other languages are a plus
- Good organizational abilities: structural and analytical thinking, establishing priorities with respect --for the deadlines,…
- Negotiating skills
- Can organize and use tools like Excel, planning etc.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
